How do I store my Sporeo mushroom spawn, casing, supplies etc.?
Supplies should be stored in a cool, dark place. Mushroom kits have a limited shelf life because they are alive! The sooner you ‘activate’ your Sporeo growing kit the better. If you think that you won’t be starting your Sporeo kit for a week or more, you should store in the refrigerator.
When you are ready, bring out of refrigeration, sit at room temperature for 2 hours.
How many days will it take before I see my mushrooms grow?
Within 2-4 weeks all your mushrooms should have fruited.
The time it takes for your mycelium-colonized substrate to put forth harvestable fruits depends on several .
Sometimes your grow kit may not produce mushrooms as quick as you expected, even despite following growing instructions. Some mushrooms are “late bloomers” who need a little more time to bloom, and some are picky about their humidity and temperature.
Mushrooms thrive in extremely high humidity, and not enough is often the problem.
When are my mushrooms ready to harvest?
Better to harvest earlier than later! Harvest mushrooms as soon as the ring breaks from the cap. You don’t want these mushrooms to grow too old and loose their impressive shape and potency. As a tip: Stringy mushrooms with long stems and little caps are usually suffocating from their own CO2. Give them some air!
